JAMES D. JAVARAS, CLU, ChFC (PRESIDENT, PRINCIPAL)

Jim is a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. Both degrees were earned from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Jim has over 30 years of insurance experience. Since 1983 he has achieved membership in the prestigious international Top of the Table. Jim is a Life and Qualifying Member of Million Dollar Round Table and is a select member of the Advanced Association of Life Underwriters. These designations allow direct access to legislative matters and trends pertinent to the insurance industry.

Jim has served on the Executive Committee of The Guardian Life Insurance Company and on the Product Development Committee for both The Guardian and Chubb Life/Jefferson Pilot Insurance Companies, assuring our clients of an active voice with these insurance carriers.

Very active in the community, he is a Trustee Emeritus of Worcester Art Museum, Alexis de Tocqueville Society member of the United Way, Chairman of Fundraising for the United Way, a member of the area Chamber of Commerce, a Worcester Life Underwriter, and a member of the local Estate & Business Planning Council.

Jim’s primary areas of concentration are Business/Employee Benefit Insurance Planning and impaired risk underwriting.
CYNTHIA STANITIS-DADE, CLU, LICENSED INSURANCE ADVISOR (VICE PRESIDENT, PRINCIPAL)

A Chartered Life Underwriter having completed ten advanced courses in insurance and financial services including retirement planning, insurance law, income taxation, financial management and business insurance, Cindy is a Licensed Insurance Advisor with over 30 years experience in the insurance industry.

Cindy is a member of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the area Chambers of Commerce.

She is past President of the Springfield Association of Life Underwriters, a member of the Worcester Life Underwriters Association, and a member of the Society of CLU. Cindy holds her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and her Master's from Northeastern University.

Her primary areas of concentration with the agency are advanced corporate benefits and estate planning.

BRENDA L. MEUNIER (ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER)

Brenda joined the company in November 1991. Her comprehensive knowledge of office applications and outstanding customer relations skills have made her an invaluable part of the day-to-day operations at The BHR Life Companies.

Her responsibilities include directing calls, coordinating marketing literature, technological support, as well as numerous other clerical and administrative support duties for our sales, service and accounting departments.
SHEILA S. MILIOTO (LIFE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE)

Sheila was part of a large nationally recognized insurance company prior to joining our BHR staff in March 1997. She has over twenty-six years of experience in life, annuity and disability income insurance. Her experience includes field underwriting, marketing and evaluating insurance products.

Sheila is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. At BHR Sheila is responsible for providing customer service to all our individual life and disability income clients.

CHERYL C. CLOTTEY-SARPONG (MARKETING & NEW BUSINESS UNDERWRITER)

Cheryl has been in the individual life and health insurance industry since 2002 and holds a Massachusetts Resident Producer License in Life and Accident & Health. In addition, her past experience includes advertising, public relations, sales, quality assurance, processing new business applications and providing underwriting assistance in policy issuance.

At BHR Cheryl is responsible for administration of new business and providing marketing assistance in the development of new sales.

Cheryl attended Bryant College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in May 2001 with a concentration in Marketing and a double minor in English and Sociology.
JULIE LEARY (EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE)

Julie has been in the group insurance industry since 1994, joining the BHR staff in April of 2007. Previously Julie worked the group insurance market with various MA based carriers. Julie’s experience includes account management, new business sales, product implementation, strategic planning, renewal negotiations, employer evaluations and employee presentations.

At BHR, Julie is responsible for employee benefit account strategy/retention and prospects. Her duties include negotiating competitive renewals, delivering unique solutions and providing exceptional service.

Julie is a graduate of Fitchburg State College and holds a MA Health Insurance Producer’s License and MA Real Estate Agents’ License. She is also a member of The Employers Association of the Northeast and various Chambers of Commerce.

CHRISTINE A. LaForest (EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ACCOUNT COORDINATOR)

Chris has been in the group insurance industry since 1994. Prior to joining BHR, she worked for many years at a Worcester based insurance carrier and has extensive group experience. Her experience includes medical claims, client service, benefit administration, product analysis, system evaluation and COBRA administration.

As Account Coordinator, Chris works with the insurance carriers and HMOs to market and redesign our client’s benefit packages. Thereby assuring that the benefits desired are provided at the most competitive prices with the highest quality carriers.

Chris, a licensed broker, is a graduate of Worcester State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

CINDY L. CROSBY (EMPLOYEE BENEFITS, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE)

Cindy has been in the group insurance industry since 1982. Prior to joining BHR in April 2000, she worked with a large Worcester based insurance carrier. Cindy has extensive
group experience, including medical claims, benefit administration and new group implementation.

At BHR Cindy is responsible for group administration, and servicing of employee
benefit programs.

Cindy is a graduate of Becker Jr. College.

LEEDAN DEARDEN (CONTROLLER)

Leedan joined The BHR Life Companies in 2008. She earned her Master's degree in Business Administration/Finance as well as her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/International Business from Framingham State College.

Leedan also received a Bachelor of Art degree from Zhonghan University in Chinese Literature.

JENNIFER V. NILES (ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE BHR COMPANIES)

Jennifer has been with BHR since March 2010. Prior to joining the BHR team, she was Co-Founder of ArborScapes Tree Care. There she developed and implemented all marketing campaigns. As well as invested in acquisitions to develop and build a turnkey business and was sold after four years to an elite landscape company.

As a BHR Account Executive, Jennifer is responsible for new business development and Life Settlements in the Boston area.

Jennifer holds her Massachusetts Life Producer's License and is currently preparing for the CLU designation.

Jennifer is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, the Young Professional Alliance, and campaigned for the Children's Hunger Fund from 2003-2008.
